The camino towards Santiago... though the heart of the Basque Country

This route follows the one taken by those pilgrims coming from France who made their way into the Iberian Peninsula over the Santiago Bridge in Irun and continued along this branch that passes through the Basque Country from north to south, through the provinces of Gipuzkoa and Álava, meeting up with the French way in Santo Domingo de la Calzada. The natural environment, the San Adrián tunnel and the tiny chapels we encounter on the Camino imbue this route with a special character.
